What is BOTOX®, Neurotoxins?
Neurotoxins like BOTOX®, along with Daxxify®, Dysport® and Xeomin®, is a specially formulated injectable treatment designed to temporarily alleviate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. BOTOX® COSMETIC
BOTOX Cosmetic is an injectable neuromodulator used to temporarily improve the appearance of certain facial lines.
Depending on your treatment plan and the product’s approved indication, areas may include:
- Frown lines between the brows
- Forehead lines
- Crow’s feet
Your provider will determine appropriate treatment areas based on your facial anatomy and goals.
DYSPORT®
Dysport is a botulinum toxin type A injectable that temporarily reduces targeted muscle activity.
It may be used to soften the appearance of dynamic facial lines, with treatment tailored to your individual anatomy.
XEOMIN®
Xeomin is a botulinum toxin type A product used to temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity.
Your provider may recommend Xeomin based on your treatment goals, anatomy and treatment history.
DAXXIFY®
Daxxify is a peptide-formulated botulinum toxin injectable.
It is FDA-approved for the temporary improvement of moderate-to-severe glabellar lines — the vertical lines between the eyebrows — in adults.
Your provider can determine whether Daxxify is appropriate for your treatment goals.

DYSPORT®
Another botulinum toxin type A option that may be selected based on treatment goals and provider assessment.
XEOMIN®
A botulinum toxin type A formulation without accessory proteins.
DAXXIFY®
A newer peptide-formulated botulinum toxin option with an FDA-approved indication for glabellar lines.
IMPORTANT: Units between different botulinum toxin products should not be treated as interchangeable. Your provider determines product selection and dosing.
AREAS WE MAY TREAT
Depending on the product, treatment goals and provider assessment, aesthetic neuromodulator treatments may include areas such as:
FOREHEAD
Soften the appearance of horizontal lines.
GLABELLA

What to Expect After Treatment
After your BOTOX® injection, you may notice slight redness or swelling at the injection sites, but these symptoms usually subside within a few hours.
